SORCA Toonie Rides are typically intermediate courses with lots
of climbing as well as descent. Leaders finish in under an hour,
but most are done in less than 1.5 hours. A season of race course
maps would give anyone a great introduction to all the trail areas
in Squamish. Riders must be members of SORCA to participate in
the toonie but membership has its advantages - including a $50
discount at the Whistler Bike Park. Visit
SORCA for more info ::>

Jpeg : Fire Fighters Toonie. This is an annual event
sponsored by the Squamish Firefighters. A fire engine leads the
racers up Perth around the neighbourhood and up Perth again, where
the racers head out the gravel road past the yellow gate. The
party was at Cliff Miller's house and there was lots of extra
good food supplied by the sponsors. The course is a tough one,
with many riders skipping Entrails and coming out Tracks from
Hell.
